Are we blind or ignorant?

What is the easier way to determine change in the landscape? Is it season to season change we notice most? Or is it even a question about change being easy, important at all. I find they questions stirring around my brain today of days. What am I documenting and how do I document it? The easiest way to see change is from black and white changes in our sounding from, a farm to housing or a forest to urban park. How does one document climate change, when it is not about black and white changes, but accumulation of changes over time?
